Don Brown, FAIA, created his first practice in 1977, which has since transformed into our firm Brown Studio Architecture of Montgomery, Alabama. Led by Don, our team of skilled architects, designers, and project managers at BSA offer a wide range of skills and services to best fit our clients’ needs.
Our group engages itself in a public way, seeking jobs which provide and enhance cultural and civic activity. We bring with us attitudes of action and thoughtfulness to respond to the needs of the environments and communities which have so much history and identity to share. The members of our team have held key positions in and around Montgomery in organizations such as the Landmarks Foundation and Freedom Rides Museum. We have an active role in the American Institute of Architects and Don Brown has personally served in all levels of the organization, including as the Vice President at the national level in the 2013-2014 term.
Working with clients both private and public, Brown Studio has completed over $2 billion in projects throughout the Southeast and many important ones right here near home, including Montgomery's Downtown Entertainment District, the River Region Health Center, and the Alabama State University Football Stadium. Our diverse portfolio includes master planning, new construction, renovation, interior design, and historic restoration and their team offers client experience in a range of building types including commercial, healthcare, historic restoration, housing, hospitality, education, retail, and athletic facilities. It is our passion to work with you as your design visionaries, restoration experts, and project executives, performing with high skill and determination to see your goals and needs through.
